To insert an image into your message, first it will need to be uploaded into the Files & Images Manager. After that, it is a matter of deciding how and where in your message you wish to add this image.
This article steps through all the different ways you can insert an image into your email as well as some helpful info on what size your image should be to fit your message correctly. Here is a list of what we will be covering (click to skip ahead):

Insert a paragraph image
This is the most popular method of inserting an image alongside text - and is the one we'd recommend using in most instances.
- Select Messages from the sidebar.
- Open your desired email message for editing, by double-clicking on it.
- Add a Paragraph Component from the Content tab on the right and click once, or click once on the Paragraph in your message you wish to change the paragraph image in.
- Open up the Image settings panel on the right. You should see the Image for this Paragraph is switched on.
- If it is the first time you are adding an image to this paragraph you will need to click the Files & Images manager so you can select the image you wish to use. button. If replacing an image in this component, please select the green button that looks like a mountain and a sun. This will open the
- Once inserted, you will see that the new image is now inside the image placeholder for this component. To change an existing paragraph image, you can again hover over the image and click the button that appears.
Insert an image into a text area
This method is useful for adding small images into a text area and for adding in custom-made image-buttons to place links on.
- Select Messages from the sidebar.
- Open your desired email message for editing, by double-clicking on it.
- Edit an area of text in your email by hovering over the area and selecting the option, or by double-clicking on the text component.
- Place your cursor in your email where you would like to insert the image and click the Files & Images manager will open.
- Select the file you'd like to use (you can also upload your image into the Files & Images manager from your computer, by using the button provided) and click .
- Set the alignment of the image (if you want it running next to text, choose absmiddle for the alignment) and click
- The image will be inserted wherever you had your cursor placed prior to insertion.
Insert an image into an image component
An image component is perfect for when you wish to add stand alone images into your message. You can place an image component across the width of the message or have a few image components sitting side by side.
- Select Messages from the sidebar.
- Open your desired email message for editing, by double-clicking on it.
- Drag-in an Image Component from the Content tab on the right side of the screen, by simply dragging and dropping that component into the required location.
- Click on the component once to access the settings on the right.

- This will open the Files & Images manager so you can select the correct folder and image you wish to add to your email. Click to select the image.
- This will add the image to your message and you can format using the settings on the right. If you wish to add alt text or a link on this image these settings are also found on the right.
If you want to change an image which is already there, just hover your mouse over the image and click , or double-click on the existing image.
Insert an image in a header or footer component
The Header / Footer Component (found under the Content tab) offers a few different style options:
- Text only
- Image only
- Text and Image
Let's take a look at how to do this...
- Select to edit the message you require or select a new template to use.
- Click onto the header / footer component once, or add a new header or footer from the Content tab on the right side of the screen. This will open the Settings panel on the right.
- Select the header / footer style you require. E.g. text / image / or text and image.
- Open up the Image panel underneath and click
- Select the image from your Files & Images manager, or upload and select.
- You can then format this component with the settings provided (e.g. change alignment of the image, change size etc.)
