Links within text can sometimes visually become 'lost', which is why buttons are a great option for your primary CTA's (call to actions). Buttons stand out, attract attention and are usually easier on the eye. By using brand colours for your buttons, you can visually help the reader connect with your brand and the desired action you'd like them to perform.
Our drag-and-drop email builder allows you to place buttons both inside text components (you can add multiple inside the same text component), as well as standalone buttons via the Button component.
In this guide, we'll walk you through both options.
How-to Guide
Add a Standalone Button Using a Button Component
- Select Messages from the sidebar.
- Double-click on an existing email to open it for editing, or create a new email.
- From the Contents panel, click & drag a Button component into the desired location within your email.
- In the Settings tab to the left, set the button link, text, alignment, padding and so on.
- In the Styles tab to the left, set the button font, border, background and more.
Add a Button Inside a Text Component

To remove the button entirely, click the Remove Button icon in the floating toolbar (shown below).

'Text' and 'Paragraph' components are essentially the same thing. The only difference is that a 'Text' component comes with the button, image and title turned off by default (but each of these can be toggled on independently if needed). A 'Paragraph' component has these all turned on by default (but each of these can be toggled off independently if needed).
