When designing an email using our WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) drag-and-drop email editor, you may have spotted a HTML icon in the text editing toolbar. This section allows you to enter into 'HTML code' mode, so that you can adjust and add your own code to the current text element if desired.
However, you may have noticed that some of your code gets removed or stripped when you exit or close out of HTML code view. This is intentional, as certain HTML elements can interfere with the code that our system uses in order to ensure your email renders as correctly as possible in an array of email clients.
While simple HTML code for font formatting (italics, bold / strong, underline, font colours), as well as table and span elements are supported, most other HTML codes are not.
If you require complex HTML codes in your email, we recommend using our raw HTML based email editor - which offers full flexibility by displaying, and allowing, virtually all HTML codes.
