Details
Sometimes it can be useful to re-send an email to a contact who didn't open the first one - especially if the information contained within is important. While we don't want to spam people who don't open, you may find that adjusting the subject line and / or content prior to re-sending can yield further opens.
You may also like to try A/B testing your subject lines in your initial send - which is a great way to automatically test for the better performing option, if you're not sure which subject might work better for your send and your audience.
How-to Guide
The resend function will only appear 12 hours after the original email send and will no longer be available after 10 days have pased. It will not appear if the message has already been resent, or if the message had a 100% open rate.
- Select Reports in the sidebar.
- Locate the report for the send in question, and double-click it to open it.
- On the top-right of the Activity panel, click .
- Adjust the subject line if required (recommended). Adding a personalisation element, such as the recipients first name, is a great way to attract attention and improve your open rate.
- Optional: Schedule the email.
- Click to send your email to those that didn't open the original one.
When viewing the Reporting overview screen, the Resend of column will show the ID of the email send report that was used as the basis for the re-send (as shown).
