If you just want to send a quick SMS and don't need any reporting, try a Quick SMS instead.
- Select Messages from the sidebar.
- Click .
- Give the message a name.
- Choose the From number you wish to use.
SMS 'From' Number Options In order to send 'from' anything other than the Shared System Number, you will need to setup a Sender ID. - Create your SMS by typing or pasting text into the field provided. You can also click the icons (in the lower-right of the field) to insert wildcards (such as the contact's first name) or emojis.
SMS Character Limits & Multi-part SMS - When done, click , or use the Send option to select a list and send your SMS to said list.
When sending an SMS, the SMS send configuration screen, as well as the confirmation screen, will both display the list of countries that your message is being sent to. It's important to scan this list to ensure the countries you see on this list are as expected. If you're seeing countries that don't look right, it could mean your mobile numbers are not formatted correctly - so you will need to edit or re-import your contacts before proceeding with the SMS send.
