You can access reports for previousy failed uploads at any time, by selecting Contacts from the sidebar, then selecting Invalid Uploads along the top.
Invalid Uploads are retained for 7 days.
A contact list upload failure (XLSX, CSV, TXT), can happen for a number of reasons. The CSV file format is recommended as it is a plain text file format and strips out any erroneous data, reducing the chances of failure.
Uploading an Excel file can fail if:
- There are multiple sheets in the file
- There is formatting applied to the file (colours, fonts etc)
- There are special characters in the file
- The file is corrupted
In the event of a CSV upload failure, we recommend reviewing your data and checking that the file itself is not corrupted.
Alternatively, you can the copy and paste option (on the Import screen) to directly add the contacts to your account instead of uploading a file.
