Using Plain HTML forms opens many opportunities to help build new subscribers in your lists.
Plain HTML forms can be used with the following services:
- Unbounce
- Leadpages
- Sumome
- Ninja popups
- OptinMonster
- Instapage
- Picreel
The above is only a small number of services that can be used, you are not restricted to the above.
Of course, there are other possibilities with this feature aside from using those services.
Because plain HTML forms have no JavaScript or css styling to speak of, they're ideal when you want more control over the look and feel of your forms.
They have very little markup which is easy for anyone familiar with HTML to manipulate however they choose. Of course with this control there is also a limitation we should point out.
Unlike our traditional forms, if you make changes to your form in the editor then you'll have to manually update the code wherever you have used it. That's why we feel using plain HTML forms is best suited for collecting simple sets of data like name and email, rather than longer forms.
How to use plain HTML forms
- Open the forms editor
- Open the Add Form to Website option
- Choose the Plain HTML tab
- Copy the code
- Paste into the custom code section of your selected tool (e.g. OptinMonster)
