Within your email marketing system is the capability to turn on 'two-step authentication' - additional security measures. While most users find the existing security measures good enough, others will want extra peace of mind and security.
Activate two-factor verification
Because it's possible to lock yourself out of an account with two-factor verification, this feature is disabled by default on most accounts.
To activate two-step verification, submit a request with our Customer Success Team.
Once the feature is activated, you'll need to:
- Log into your account.
- Go to 'Account' in the top right corner of the page.
- Go to 'Security' from the top menus.
- There will be three options; Google Authenticator, SMS Verification & Backup SMS Verification. We strongly recommend that you enable ALL THREE.
The reason that we recommend enabling all three is because if you just enable Google Authenticator, you'll only be able to login when you have access to the phone / device with the Google Authenticator app you used to set up the security feature. So if your phone was stolen or you didn't have access to your phone, you wouldn't be able to login.
Please note that each separate user login to your account will need to set up their own two-step verification settings.
