Are you posting your emails to social media, but having a problem where last month's information is showing instead of the new details? This article will explain how to trouble shoot this problem.
Part 1: Update to correct details
- Go to Messages in your email marketing account.
- Select the message you want to post to social.
- Choose Edit from the Actions menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Once the email editor is open, click the Social tab at the top of the editor.
- Make sure all details are correct for the current edition of your newsletter.
- Go back to the Designer tab of the message editor.
- On the right side of the screen, click the Design menu.
- Find the View Online Title field.
- Make sure the title in that field reflects the details of your current newsletter edition.
- Click the green Save button in the top right corner to save any changes.
Part 2: Save a new message
- Go to Messages and edit your message (see steps above if you need instructions on how to edit).
- Next to the Save button in the top right corner of the editor, click the little arrow.
- Choose the option Save As New.
- Complete the save.
Part 3: Test the social update
- Go to Messages in your email marketing account.
- Select the newly saved message.
- Choose Preview from the Actions menu at the bottom of the screen.
- Highlight and copy the Online URL from the preview screen (underneath the subject line).
- Go to your own Facebook account.
- Paste the Online URL you copied into your status update box and wait for the preview to load.
- Confirm that the preview now shows the correct message information.
Once you have completed parts 1 - 3 above, you are ready to post your message to social media.
