Send to contacts who did or didn't open your last email Follow

Sometimes it can be useful to re-send an email to a contact who didn't open the first one. While we don't want to spam people who don't open, sometimes adjusting the subject line and / or content and re-sending can yield further opens.

Re-sending to unopened contacts

To send a message to contacts who didn't open the first email that you sent:

  1. Go to 'Messages'.
  2. Select the message and choose 'Send'.
  3. Pick the contact list to send to, and then choose the option 'Search for contacts (Recommended for large lists)'.
  4. Click 'Next'.
  5. Click the 'Advanced Search' button.
  6. From the first drop down, choose the field 'Date of last open'.
  7. From the second drop down, choose 'Before'.
  8. From the date picker, choose the date that you last sent the email (e.g. If you last sent the email on the 20th of March, this is the date you would choose here).
  9. Click the 'Search' button.
  10. Click the 'Send Message' button.

NOTE: If you have contacts who have NEVER opened an email, they will not show up using the above search criteria. If you want to include those who have NEVER opened also, you will need to do the following search:

  9. Click the 'Add field' button in the top left corner of the search window.
  10. From the new drop down, choose 'Date of last open'.
  11. From the second drop down, choose 'Is empty'.
  12. From the third, choose 'Yes'.
  13. Click the 'Match ANY Fields' option in the top right corner of the search window.
  14. Click the 'Search' button.
  15. Click the 'Send Message' button.

  3. Select the list you want to use, and then choose 'Search for contacts (recommended for large lists)'.

  10. Click the 'Send Message' button.
