When sending a message, there are 4 options to choose from:
- Entire List
- Select Specific Contacts
- Search For Contacts (recommended for large lists)
- Contacts Who Have Not Yet Received This Email (selected list only)
This option is exactly as it sounds. If you select this option you will send your message to the entire list of contacts you select (minus unsubscribers, invalid contacts, and if selected, duplicates).
Select Specific Contacts
This is the option you will use if there is only a few contacts in the list you wish to send your message to. You can use the search bars up the top to find the contacts you are after. Commonly used when sending a test send to test links to forms.
Search For Contacts (recommended for large lists)
This is the option you would use if you wish to send your message to a particular segmentation of your list. To use this option you will complete an advanced search for a specific segment of your contacts. An example of when this might be used is if you need to send a particular message to only QLD residents who are in your list. If you have a state field with this data then you can search for contacts where the State field equals QLD.
Contacts Who Have Not Yet Received This Email (selected list only)
This option can come in handy for a number of different reasons. An example of when you might use this option is if you send a message to your list and then upload more contacts into that same list and wish to send the message to them. If this is the case then you would want to send to those who have not yet received this email.
