Using the Facebook Business Integration Follow

This article will guide you through setting up the Facebook Business Integration.

Please note:

  • The Facebook Business integration will send your contact lists to your Facebook Audience, it will not generate contacts within our system based on your existing Facebook Audience.
  • To set up the Facebook Business integration you will first need a Facebook for Business account; you can create an account on the Facebook for Business (https://business.facebook.com) website.
  • Only one Facebook for Business account can be connected to a Vision6 account. You can connect multiple audiences to Vision6.
  • Lists of any size can be imported into an audience, however you need at least 20 contacts before Business for Facebook will deliver advertisements. More information can be found within Facebook's documentation at https://www.facebook.com/business/help/983287271727920

Setting up and managing the Facebook Business Integration

Connecting your Facebook Business Account

To begin click Integrations, locate Facebook Business and click Connect.

From here you will be given an overview of the features and functionality of Facebook for Business. Clicking Connect will launch a prompt to connect to your Facebook Business account. Use the prompt to log in to your account or if logged in simply click Continue. You will then need to select OK to allow access to manage your Adverts, this will only allow access to your Audiences.

A prompt will appear to enable to select a list to send to your Facebook Business account:

  1. Select the Folder and the list you wish to send from the drop down lists
  2. Select whether you'd like to send Active/Inactive/Subscribed/Unsubscribed/All contacts, click Continue
  3. Type in the name of your new Audience, you can also add a description however this field isn't mandatory. Click Create Custom Audience.
  4. If you have not yet accepted the Facebook for Business Terms of Service you will be prompted at this stage, you can click the link to read and Accept these terms. You will then need to jump back to the platform screen and click Create Custom Audience.
  5. Your contacts will then be added into your new Custom Audience, you can go ahead and close this window if you don't wish to wait while this loads.
    You will see your new Custom Audience within Facebook for Business, clicking on this Audience will take you to the Audience History.

Please note:

  • You will need a minimum of 20 contacts to have an active audience within Facebook

Managing your Account

To manage your Facebook for Business account click Integrations, locate Facebook Business and click Manage.

From here you are able to view the details, view the contacts that have been connected and disconnect Custom Audiences.

Please note:

  • Clicking the View Users button will bring up the current list that is connected with Facebook Business, making changes to this list will also affect your list within the system.

Adding Audiences

If you'd like to add additional Custom Audiences to your account:

  1. Select the Folder and the list you wish to send from the drop down lists
  2. Select whether you'd like to send Active/Inactive/Subscribed/Unsubscribed/All contacts, click Continue
  3. Type in the name of your new Audience, you can also add a description however this field isn't mandatory. Click Create Custom Audience.
  4. Your contacts will then be added into your new Custom Audience, you can go ahead and close this window if you don't wish to wait while this loads.
  5. Once your contacts have been linked you will receive a confirmation screen. You can manage your Custom Audience from here or close the window. You will now see your Custom Audience as Connected within the Integration screen.

Disconnecting Audiences

  1. Select Disconnect on the Custom Audience you'd like to remove
  2. Click Disconnect in the confirmation box. 

Disconnecting your Account

To disconnect your Facebook for Business account click Integrations, locate Facebook Business and click Manage.

Clicking Disconnect will display a confirmation prompt to permanently disconnect from Facebook for Business. This will not remove any Audiences within Facebook for Business.
